Record number of residents in heated debate over multicultural tradition at City Hall

MARKAM, Ontario – The Hon. Joe Volpe – former federal Minister of Immigration and Thomas Saras – President of The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada are observers of the debate upon allowing national flags of countries and various communities to be flown at the City Hall of Markham.

In solidarity and support: Marek J.D.Goldyn – Mr Europa – Founder of The European Club of Canada – an Organiser of Proclamation of Europe Day at Queen’s Park – Legislative Assembly of Ontario and celebration of May as European Heritage Month in Canada.

The final vote in favour is: eight to 5.

Thomas S. Saras At the Markham City Hall, fighting for the right of the communities to commemorate their National Day at the Markham City Hall. There were wrong messages from one group with a lot of embarrassment and hatred against anyone and anything.
