The United Communities of Canada participated in the sixth international contest “Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Medias” devoted to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The UCC video about Kazakhstan was appreciated and selected as one of 5 winners among 60 applicants from 36 countries. Tony Ruprecht, Former Minister of Multiculturalism and Inga Cernei-Kelner, President of United Communities of Canada, had a chance to visit Kazakhstan and get to know this country better. After this welcoming visit, they organized an award ceremony to appreciate all participants contributing to the victory.

The meeting took place on the 24th of September 2021 in Veranda Café in Vaughan. The guests and hosts felt a lovely and friendly atmosphere and promised to continue to further develop the strong relationship between communities and countries.
